Japan Exchange 2008

Dear Applicant and Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the 2008 SASF Goodwill Basketball Exchange with Matsuyama, Japan.

The Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation (SASF) utilizes sports to provide the community with opportunities to experience their heritage and culture.  The SASF Basketball/Cultural Exchange program provides students from the Sacramento area an opportunity to experience the heritage and culture of Japan.  By experiencing homestay in Matsuyama, Japan, the student participants will experience a goodwill exchange of cultural ideas and enrichment.

Through the spirit of participating in the goodwill basketball exchange, we hope to educate and help the youth of Sacramento understand the importance of global friendship and to value the traditions and culture of Japan.
