Strive for Strength Scholarship
Applications are currently being accepted for the “Linda Kobayashi Strive for Strength” scholarship. A one thousand dollar ($1000) college scholarship will be awarded to a 2010 graduating high school senior. This scholarship program honors the legacy of Linda Kobayashi who believed young people benefit from relationships they cultivate in their schools, community, and athletic endeavors; moreover, she believed that these relationships become a springboard through which these young people become productive and responsible adults. The scholarship will be awarded to a female graduating senior with an excellent academic record, a history of consistent community service activities, and whose written essay best answers the question she selects from the list provided. A selection committee will review all applications received by May 1, 2010. Please refer to the application for detailed requirements.
