As we approach the next millennium, the Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation (SASF) stands as a leader in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. To position SASF for growth in the API community, the Foundation has invested in a community/recreational facility for the greater Sacramento area.
Our Goal
- The building of a community/recreation facility that will serve the Sacramento/Elk Grove community.
- The building of universal values: Character, Leadership,
and Family --Education of the positive contributions
of the Asian and Pacific American community.
Project Status
The Quest of the Sacramento
Asian Sports Foundation began in 1993, and we have come a long way
toward the realization of that dream. SASF has raised $2.3 million
in donations, pledges, land and major in-kind services as of October
2003. At our 10th annual Crab Feed in November 2003, we announced
a new pledge of $1 million donor for naming rights to the new facility.
This gift brings us to our current total of $3.3 million overall.
Groundbreaking will commence when the $1 million Brick Campaign
nears completion.

2003 letter (PDF) from Karen Fong Cotton, SASF President.
