All boys and girls teams in your organization are invited to participate in our tournament.  Copies of this invitation may be distributed to all the teams in your organization.  

Our tournament includes boys and girls teams from “E” Division through high school seniors plus an Open Men’s Division for players that are out of high school.  Our tournament continues to emphasize friendship, sportsmanship, and family participation.      The SASF is a not for profit 501 (c) (3) organization and proceeds from the tournament go toward the support of our recreational facility.  Invitations have been sent to more teams than slots available and we urge you to respond as soon as possible

Turn in your registration forms and join us for the summer!!    

For those who have already registered please take a few minutes to read through the information below - it should have answers to most, if not all, of your questions.    

The 2009 SASF Summer League will be starting the last full week of June. Please note the following:    

    * Check-in starts 30 minutes prior to the start time so come early so your player will be ready when the whistle blows.     
    * You must check-in on both days - make sure your contact info is correct.      
    * The coaches will use the phone numbers to notify you what team your player is on and the time of the first game.      
    * The coaches of the championship teams will use the home address provided to drop off the championship shorts.    
    * I will use e-mail to pass on league information and will automatically send you registration information for future years. < br>      

Below is the schedule for observation week.  The "grade" corresponds with the grade your player will enter in the Fall of 2009.    
 
Rookies – 2nd & 3rd grade
Fridays June 26, July 3 & 10
Check-in starts at 5:30 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:00    
 
Girls Lower - 4th, 5th, & 6th grade
Monday June 22 & Wednesday June 24
Check-in starts at 5:30 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:30    
 
Girls Upper – 7th, 8th , & 9th grade
Monday June 22 & Wednesday June 24
Check-in starts at 7:00 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 7:30 pm and ends at 9:00    
 
Adult women – 10th grade and up
Monday June 22 & Wednesday June 24
Check-in starts at 8:30 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 9:00 pm and ends at 10:30

Tuesday June 23 & Thursday June 25
Check-in starts at 5:30 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:30

Observation play starts promptly at 7:30 and ends at 9:00 pm    
 
Adult men – 10th grade and up
Tuesday June 23 & Thursday June 25
Check-in starts at 8:30 pm
Observation play starts promptly at 9:00 and ends at 10:30 pm    
 
  TEAM SELECTION      
Girls and adult women will be drafted Wednesday (6/24) night.    
Boys and adult men will be drafted Thursday (6/25) night. 
Rookies will be drafted Friday (7/10) night.
Coaches will call each player within 3 days of their draft night to let players know what team they are on and the time of their first game the following week.     
 
  GAME DAYS      
Girls play on Monday and Wednesday with games at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30.    
Boys play on Tuesday and Thursday with games at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30.     
The lower division plays on the Jimmy Yee court.    
The upper division plays on the Matsuda court.    

Adult leagues use both courts.
Adult women play on Monday and Wednesday.
Adult men play on Tuesday and Thursday
Adult games are at 9:30 and 10:30.    

Rookie games start at 5:30.  The exact schedule has not been finalized as it depends on the number of teams that are formed.  The last game for rookies is July 31.    

Schedules will be posted at the gym and on the website at  www.SASFQuest.org as soon as team rosters are finalized.    
 
  ALL-STAR GAME  
The All-star game for all divisions (except for rookies) will be on either Wednesday July 29th or Thursday July 30th.

Save A Life!    

Be a Bone Marrow Donor!        July 28 at SASF        

In April 2009 at the age of 18 years-old, Steven was diagnosed with an Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). Currently, he is receiving treatment at the Children's Hospital of the UCSF and in search of a matched donor for a lifesaving bone marrow transplant. (Register to be a Bone Marrow Donor at www.BeTheMatch.org). Steven will need to stay in the hospital until at least the end of the year.
